Q:

What’s so special about HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER?

HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER quickly allowed me to work on stimulating pan-European litigation matters with highly skilled lawyers and patent attorneys from five countries. Although the work can be intense and challenging, the firm strives to put people in the right conditions to develop their full potential while creating a socially attractive environment.

Q:

Who inspires you the most and why?

There are too many inspiring people to choose just one, and each of them contributes to our growth in this world. Thomas Pesquet helps me to see beyond our borders and our time, while Jón Þór Birgisson helps me to refocus on myself and the people around me.

Q:

What would you have done if you hadn’t become involved in intellectual property?

I love sharing knowledge and am passionate about all the life sciences, which would have made me a life sciences teacher without a doubt.

Q:

What’s the best thing about your job?

What makes my job interesting is the fine, well-worked blend of multi-disciplinary teamwork, science at its most detailed and ingenious strategy in a legal universe.

Q:

Which books are currently on your night stand?

Aâma, a graphic novel, has made a comeback on my bedside table, along with Dune Messiah by Frank Herbert, to escape to worlds we know nothing about.

Q:

What do you enjoy doing during your free time?

I enjoy travelling, especially by bike, all equipped, through French regions (for now) as I’m writing this from the island of Bréhat. I also love organising group weekends with friends to enjoy each other’s company.

Q:

Which advice would you give a junior lawyer?

From a patent attorney’s point of view, I strongly advise you to find and follow competent, willing people who understand how to convey their experience to you, and who take the time to do so.
